The last Task (Translate English press release to Arabic)

In this task I had to translate an English press release to Arabic. As a beginning I read the press release it was seven paragraphed about Harbor Real Estate sign an Memorandum of understanding to offer advanced Real Estate training programs. I tried to understand what the topic and the press release talking about. After getting the idea I started to translate each paragraph alone and get the best explanation that I could have. It wasn’t that hard to me to do this task because Arabic is my mother language and it easy for me to have the best sentences, but the difficulties that I had face is some English words that I didn’t understand so I had to search for their meaning and as an advantage I learned new words. Finally, it wasn’t hard it was exciting because I had to do something as a change from long time I didn’t do it.

Media List

Today I worked in the online media list its very similar to the magazine list, I had to check the emails of the people who’s in charge of receiving the press releases. Some of the online magazines I checked in their website and I found the emails and others I couldn’t find any contact information so I had to send email to the one that I have and check if it’s the right one or not. Added to that, many of the magazines have contact numbers then emails which I had to call them and ask for the email that we can send our press releases too. It was an easy task, but what I didn’t like is how people treat you they don’t have any professionalism spicily the Managers. In the last point I think an online magazine has to update their contact list and add more information for their customers to make it easy for them.

Task 5 (magazines list)

As I started working in this task it was very easy and it doesn’t need researching or reading. This task was more interested than the others because I had to communicate with people which are my favorite thing to do. The meaning of magazine list is a contact list of real estate property magazine with many details like journalist’s names, positions, numbers, fax and emails I had to update this information and check some of them also, complete some missing information for some of the magazines. In the beginning I organized the magazines and I wrote what the information that I needed for example, the editor information in each magazine and who is in charge of receiving the property press releases. However, when I started calling some of the people was very helpful and many of them were very rood anyway what were important to me to get what I want. Added to that, I had some difficulties of finding some information like contact numbers, but I sorted out by emailing the editors. It was very excited to work in this task because it’s a good practice to learn how it’s important to organize different contact list and how we deal with people.

Website templates

After I finished my third task I didn’t start directly in the fourth one because the details explanation in my task was not ready, anyway what I did in this three days is searching through the internet for website templates or taking ideas about how professional websites looks like to help Harbor in their new project which is creating three website for three different companies. As in my experience of creating website is that website should be organized and having a creative template, but what I think is that not necessary that this two things will make the website successful because if the website are nice viewing maybe the information and the navigation in the web might not be useful or clear which will cause less viewers and losing customers. For example, I was visiting chanel website they have great template professional features, but it was very hard to me to navigate in the website it was very complicate to find what I was looking for. So website is not easy to create people has to have a plane to cover all of the point that people care to see or what they expected to see.

Website development

In my task three, I had to come up with new reassures to develop and enhance Harbor real estate website and Harbor communications by research other competitors’ websites like, Provident real estate, better homes and Sherwood's. In the beginning, I found out that researching for reassures or tools easier than looking for information because information has to be specific and reliable, but in my opinion searching for tools it’s more interesting the reason is that tools are clear and easier to understand. While I am working in this task there are many tools that I liked and I find them excellent. For example, Adding Harbor social media accounts in the website because it very important for Harbor to be connected with their visitors or their targets to allow people to be updates with the latest news without visiting the website all of the time, but in interested way like twitter, face book and blogs. Added to that, I find the latest news tool helpful because If the company target is bringing back the visitors or increasing the viewers to Harbor website we have to afford them the easiest way to get information and the latest news not to search for them, Latest news link offers the chance for people to save their time and get what they want at the same time. What I learned from this task is websites appearance or how they are organized it’s very important for the company to get more viewers than loosening them. Also, it’s important to deliver information to people in clear and simple way. Tools are important because they are the only way to make the website easy to navigate.

This week was the end of task two, I enjoyed working in social media, but not all of the websites for example, linkedin and my space because I didn't get any use of them. What was very interested is that I had the chance to improve Harbor media relations in many ways and optimize their accounts which was good for them and for me to get this experience and learn new things.

My space and linked in

To start with this two social media services are new for me and I don’t have any experience how it works. First I created two accounts in both services I wasn’t very interested working on them because they where complicated to me and I couldn’t understand them in the begging which was a challenging for me. However, I had fun working in twitter by adding more people also, to talk to them and see their tweets. Added to that I updated the blog and I have one new follower.

Twitter and Blogger

To have an interested social media pages we have to create a creative page with professional layouts and organized, clear information. Moreover, when I continued working in task two I created today the Harbor real estate blog and twitter accounts, I had to follow some other real estate companies so I can optimize the Harbor accounts. Added to that, the thing which was very interested that when I created twitter and I added other real estate twitters I was afraid that I won’t have any followers to Harbor, but I had four followers In the first day and I had the chance to talk to them by receiving emails from them to me that they are very glad to be in touch with our company.

Social media


 


In this day I started working in my second task which is social media relation like web blogs, twitter, face book, my space and other social media networks. I was very happy and interested in working on these kinds of social media recourses because I have an experience of using some of them, but the challenging part that when you create a blog how you will be able to promote or customize it in specific places. For example, before I start creating Harbor real estate blog I needed to know which followers we will be targeting so we increase our social media in real estate, but it was very hard to me because there are very limited blogs that talking about real estate. However, I managed myself to find some of the important blogs about real estate in Dubai and I had the chance to create a twitter account for myself.

Dead line task one:


I had finish my task one today it was very interested to know about other real estate companies how they compete with each other to be popular in real estate business also, I had the chance to know about Harbor real estate competitor they called Provident, when I started working in the SEO it was not that hard to understand how it works, but my supervisor helped me to improve and have a better idea. After I finished working with my task I had to check EDGE real estate company website content which Harbor created for them and it was very interested to look at the designs and learn more about real estate which I don’t have any idea about it before.

Task one ..

As a start of working I had to find different companies which will be very important for Harbor to get well known in the real state field by registering in the business competitive.

And then  I worked in improving the volume and quality of traffic to Harbor real estate website by learning  how to use the data base to improve the "META" which is the key words and description in the data base that makes the website easier to find in the search engine for example Google.

My First day as (Trainee)

Harbor is a real estate company which located in Dubai it’s a company with different departments like marketing, Advertising and personal relationship the one that I work in. In the first day I had a several meetings with my colleges in the company to know the people who work there and to get the idea of the work environment.

"My work plan"

I had six work experience with deadlines time each of the points I had to finish it at least within two weeks which was a good start because it’s helped me to focus and organized. Moreover, my work plan is working closely with search engine optimization, social media, research other competitor’s web sites, and work with public relation team also, working with the PR on drafting press release added to that working closely with creative team on finalization of marketing collaterals and ad’s.
